Section 1
- Which branch of government is given the power to
establish lower federal courts? Why do you think this is the case?
- What is the term of a Supreme Court justice? Why is
this their term?
Section 2
- List three examples of cases that would fall under the
judicial power of the Supreme Court.
- Under what circumstances does the Supreme Court have
“original jurisdiction”
Section 3
- What constitutes treason in this section? What is
required to convict a person of treason? Treason is the only specific crime
that is mentioned in the Constitution. Why do think this is the case?
Article IV
Section 1
- Section 1 is called the Full Faith and Credit clause.
What shall be given full faith and credit? Give three specific examples of
issues that would be given full faith and credit (these should be from your
head, not taken specifically from the Constitution).
Section 2
- The Citizens of each State shall be entitled to all

example this principle.
- Geoff commits an armed robbery in the state of Florida
and then flees to Texas where he is caught for an unrelated traffic
violation. While running his record, Texas police realize that the state of
Florida has a warrant out for Geoff’s arrest. What does the Constitution
require Texas do with Geoff? Who must initiate this action from Florida?

- Betty is unhappy with the current Governor in her
state. Betty decides that she wants to break free from her state and form
her own state consisting of her 100 acre ranch. What would it take for
Betty to be successful in this endeavor?

- There are two methods for proposing constitutional
amendments. What are they? There are two methods for ratifying
constitutional amendments. What are they?
Article VI
- Why do you think that the new government under the
Constitution would assume all of the debts and agreements that were incurred
under the Articles of Confederation?
- Florida passes a law that outlaws the right of the
people to peaceably assemble. Does the federal government have the right to
overrule this state law? Why or why not?
- Ahmed would like to run for the Senate in Tennessee.
He meets all of the Constitutional requirements to be a Senator, but he is
kept off of the ballot because is his a practicing Muslim. Does Ahmed have
any recourse under the constitution? Explain.
Article VII
- What is required to ratify the Constitution? Be
specific.
